NFT is an acronym for non-fungible token which means non-copyable token, that is, something unique that cannot be replaced by anything else. A cryptocurrency can be exchanged for another cryptocurrency while a work of art is unique and therefore non-fungible.

NFTs are used to buy or sell digital assets, these digital assets are generally: images, videos, GIFs, tweets, songs, movies, virtual playing cards, game skins, virtual real estate, etc.
